B.12 REMEMBRANCE DAY CEREMONY PARTICIPATION
Policy:
The Red River Valley School Division acknowledges the importance of Remembrance Day Ceremonies and supports School Division participation in local events.
Protocol:
As requested, a trustee (or other Divisional representative if necessary) will attend Legion-sponsored Remembrance Day Services held on November 11th at locations throughout the Division.
Procedure:
Upon learning of a Legion-sponsored Remembrance Day Service, arrangements will be made for a school trustee to attend. Where possible, the local trustee will attend. In addition to attending the event, the trustee will also lay a wreath on behalf of the school division.
Arrangement for the wreath will be made at the Administration Office as necessary.
