B.13 REGULAR POLICY REVIEW
Policy:
The Red River Valley School Division Board of Trustees believes that Divisional Policies are the foundation upon which the School Division operates and should remain up-to-date and current with new legislation.
Protocol
Entire sections of the Policy Manual will be systematically reviewed by Board Committees on a 4-year rotation basis with Year 1 being the first year following a Trustee Election, as follows:
Year 1 Review of Sections A, B. I
Year 2 Review of Sections E, G, L
Year 3 Review of Sections C, J, M
Year 4 Review of Sections F, H, K
The Red River Valley School Division Policy Manual will be made available to all employees and to the public via the School Division webpage.
Procedure
Each section will be reviewed by both the Policy Committee and the Committee of the Whole/Governance. The only exception is Section E – Financial Operations which will be reviewed by the Policy Committee and the Committee of the Whole/Finance.
The Superintendent & CEO will ensure that all operational stakeholders are consulted during the review process (as necessary).
