E.8 LATE PAYMENT OF SPECIAL LEVY
Policy:
The Red River Valley School Division Board of Trustees expects that Municipalities will be punctual when making their special levy payments.
Protocol:
Refer to The Public Schools Act (P250-M.R. 371/88 3 (1))
Late payments levy may be billed for interest at current Bank of Canada Rates. The calculation shall be based on the number of days delinquent beyond fifteen.
Procedure:
The Secretary-Treasurer will communicate with municipalities. If the problem persists, the issue will be brought to the board for direction.
