I.19  CANADIAN FLAG Policy: Every school shall at all times display a Canadian flag, whether on a flagstaff on the school grounds or prominently displayed in the school building itself. The Principal of any school is authorized to fly the flag at half-mast as a token of respect in the death of a student or staff member.  The flag shall be at half-mast for three days beginning with the day on which the confirmed news is received. The Superintendent/CEO may authorize the flags in The Red River Valley School Division to be flown at half-mast in respect of other events as deemed appropriate. Procedure: Canadian general flag etiquette procedures will be followed.
