J.8 ENROLMENT AGE
Policy:
The Red River Valley School Division Board of Trustees supports the enrolment of students in Kindergarten.
Protocol:
In order to enroll in Kindergarten in September, the fifth birthday of the child enrolling must fall on or before December 31 of that same year.
In order to enroll in Grade 1 in September, the sixth birthday of the child enrolling must fall on or before December 31 of that same year.
Wherever possible, an original birth certificate must be provided at the time of registration as proof of age.
