J.9 INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
Policy:
The Red River Valley School Division Board of Trustees supports the enrolment of International students in the School Division.
Protocol:
Schools may admit International students subject to the availability of facilities and acceptable student enrollment in the appropriate program and grade to a maximum of 4 students per school per school year.
International students must pay an enrolment fee of $8,000 (Cdn $) per school year regardless of whether or not the student is part of a recognized student exchange program. The student must also possess a valid student visa from Employment and Immigration Canada and a valid medical certificate satisfactory to the immigration officials and the school division.
Procedure:
Payments may be made on a pro-rated basis depending on when the student is registered at an RRVSD School.
